Multi-stage Alarm Concept

Loxone works with several alarm levels, depending on the situation:

• Silent Alarm – Notification to your smartphone, e.g., in case of unusual movement or unexpected window opening.
• Acoustic Alarm – Sirens, speakers, or defined tones are triggered throughout the house.
• Optical Alarm – Lighting and shading are involved, e.g., flashing lights or raised roller shutters.

This allows you to flexibly decide how "loudly" your system should react.

Use of Existing Sensors

Instead of installing everything twice for the alarm system, Loxone uses components that are already present:

• Presence and motion detectors
• Door and window sensors
• Window contacts of the shading system
• Access systems such as NFC, code, keypad, or transponders

This saves hardware, costs, and reduces sources of error.

Presence Simulation & Burglary Protection

Loxone can make your home appear inhabited even when no one is there:

• Lights go on and off at typical times
• Roller shutters move up and down as usual
• In combination with audio, music or radio can be played

This deters many opportunistic burglars before anything even happens.
